diScanner uses the camera to scan pages. Photos access may be requested when selecting images or saving a PDF page to the photo library.

Change a permission

  1. Open your device’s Settings app and find diScanner. On some system versions it appears under Apps.
  2. Enable Camera to scan pages.
  3. Review the available Photos options for selecting or saving images.
  4. Return to diScanner and try the action again.

The choices shown depend on the system version and the photo picker being used. If only selected photos are available, adjust the selection or permission when offered.

Other ways to work

You can open existing documents without Camera access. To import a PDF or image stored in Files, use Documents → + → Import files. To select existing photos, choose Photo library.

Saving a page to Photos creates a separate copy. Removing the PDF from diScanner does not remove that image.
