The World Clock screen starts with a Local Time card, followed by saved location cards and a vertical time slider. Sun and moon positions and the card tint provide astronomical context for the selected moment. Weather information and animated clouds or precipitation appear when weather data is available.

How to use this information

  1. Read Local Time for the selected date and time in the device’s current time zone.
  2. Read each saved card for the location name, local date, local time, and difference from your current time zone.
  3. Tap + in the upper-right corner to add a city, country representative, or time-zone representative.
  4. Swipe left on a saved location card and tap Delete to remove it.
  5. Tap a saved location card to open its Information sheet with weather, Location, Time Zone, Sun, Moon, and Sky Path sections.
  6. Tap the Local Time card or time to open Select Date & Time. Use the vertical slider for changes within the selected day, and tap Now to return to the live clock.
  7. Tap More (the ellipsis) in the upper-left corner, then Settings. Choose Sort and Delete from the same menu to rearrange saved cities.
  8. Tap Contact Time (the two-person icon) to compare suitable times for two to five locations.

Important details

  • Removing a location changes the app list and may affect the small configurable widget.
  • Two Locations and World Clock List include Local Time followed by saved cities. Two Cities and City List show only saved cities, taking the first two and first five respectively.
  • In Settings, Place slider on the right changes which edge holds the time slider without changing any saved location.
  • Time Format offers Follow System, 24-Hour Time, and 12-Hour Time for the app and widgets. It changes the display format, not the selected moment or time zones.
  • Show Artwork turns the city and country illustrations on or off. Align timeline markers lines up the selected-time markers across city rows to make comparison easier.
  • On non-English devices, Show original English names can show the bundled English location names.

Practical tips

  • Keep only the places you actually compare.
  • Open details before scheduling an event near midnight.
